Originally from Yorkshire, Mark has over 20 years’ experience within the construction industry, delivering complex projects across building services, compliance and multidisciplinary coordination. His career includes senior roles with leading PLC organisations including McNicholas Construction and Siemens, before relocating to Guernsey in 2020 to take up the role of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Manager at Rihoy & Son.
Recognising the increasing regulatory focus on competence, accountability and third party certification within Passive Fire Protection, Mark progressed to lead operations at Firesafe and now serves as Managing Director. He is responsible for the strategic direction, technical governance and certified delivery of passive fire protection systems across the Channel Islands, ensuring full alignment with current legislation, British Standards and industry best practice.
A Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, holder of the Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection and a Technician Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers, Mark combines practical construction experience with formal fire safety qualifications. Through sustained professional development and accredited competence, he provides clients with technically sound, compliant and proportionate fire protection solutions across commercial, residential and healthcare environments.
